Founded in 2016 by Australian Veterinarian, Emma Vermeeren, Animal Behaviour Coaching assists people and their pets with veterinary, grooming, training and behavioural needs. Ranging from general veterinary services, grooming, group training courses, to simple individual training issues, to more complex behavioural problems that requires veterinary expertise, Animal Behaviour Coaching has you covered.

Animal Behaviour Coaching operates via appointments and enrolments only, which you can book by clicking on the relevant Service. Please Contact Us if you are unsure what Service best suits your needs. The business is located in Keith, South Australia, however video and phone consultations are available in most cases.

Emma has been involved in animal training all her life. She assisted with the local dog obedience club on Kangaroo Island where she grew up. She completed Pony Club to D* and Parelli Natural Horsemanship to level 2. More recently, Emma has graduated the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Adelaide. Upon graduation, Emma worked in mixed general practice veterinarian for a number of years before pursuing her passion of training and behaviour. Emma has completed her Certificate IV in Companion Animal Training through the Delta Society to become a certified professional dog trainer. Emma was awarded her membership by examination to the Veterinary Behaviour Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2021.

Emma currently owns two Miniature Schnauzers; one that has suffered generalised anxiety and separation anxiety her whole life, and the other that has developed a noise phobia (started off as thunderstorm phobia) as she ages. She is also a mum to two beautiful daughters. Emma thoroughly enjoys the parallels between human and animal psychology and learning theory, as well as working up complex medical cases.
